Soo many great features, so many ways to edit a track or mix two tracks, or mix even more tracks! Amazing product, amazing price - free!

I always loved this app but a few years ago it was not free. I had to use the trial version. When i got my mac and saw this with free i just thought DOWNLOAD DOWNLOAD DOWNLOAD. Amazing app and very easy to get started

This DJ app couldnt accurately gauge the BPM of tracks on my computer, nor could I match the BPM of the two decks with any accuracy. This combined with the horrible interface which is for the most part a large bitmap image ( when you resize the window it is stretched and distorted, even the aqua buttons in the top left! ) makes this app pretty terrible on the scale of overall quality.

I love this thing. Its so much fun to play around with, and when you get good with it things start to sound really great. The only thing I wish you could do with it is use airplay, allowing me to send the music wirelessly to my speakers. until then Ill just have to plug it in!

Cant believe this is free. Really fun and really cool.

I love this app but I cant quit when Im done!!! I tried force quit but it still doesnt work!!! But instead of quitting it I press the x button, but now I cant play it again and I cant re-install it!!! :(

the program does have lots of good dj features however the interface is horrible. it feels like a program built for windows.

Thank you Virtual DJ for keeping a home free version. It helped to get familiar with the software before buying the pro version. Keep on spinning! DJ More Coxx

I came to the app store fully ready to buy this application, found out it free. I couldnt believe it. This is still my preferred way of listening to music.

Read some of the reviews of the previous versions and they must have fixed all of the issues, because the interface looks alot better, the app quits, and I can match beats very easily (even though this isnt a problem of the app but rather the user). Thanks for keeping it free! Hopefully it works with whatever mix deck I choose to get.

Like other reviewers, I notice that the user interface has a distinct Windows feel. It can be painful at times -- for example, you cant resize the main window (which is a problem if you dont auto-hide the Dock, as it otherwise interferes with some icons on the bottom of the window). Unlike some other App store dj programs like djay, VirtualDJ Home cant intelligently sort a playlist by song key -- the key sort is mindlessly alphanumeric (C, C#, D, etc.) instead of by circle of fifths. In auto mix mode, only one of the turntables is in use, making it hard to see and work with the song that is coming up next in the auto mix, as the songs dont alternate turntables, unlike many other dj programs with an auto mix or auto dj mode. On the positive side, the visual display of bars, beats and waveforms of the music playing is excellent, with flexible viewing options. There are also excellent cross-fade options; for example, fade (remove intro/outro) or fade (remove silence) and all of them work intelligently. For the most part, this eliminates the need to manually set start and stop cues. For party music, if all you want to do is set an iTunes playlist to play with smooth, musically pleasing transitions, this really is one of the best programs currently available on the App store, second only to djay (which has better features for handling song key).

Looks a bit like windows but is quite fun and entertaning for a party. Not Bad...

its not great if you have a table cause it disconnects after 10 minutes they should prevent that i guess they did that only cause they want you to buy the real one but good if you only want to use it on your computer.

this apps are realy nice but it crash with lion please help

I have tried a lot of mixing programs and this one gives you the most FX and mixers. You can even record a mix.

im in a band and this is very usefull for editing my songs and getting a new feel for them! 5 stars!

Kept freezing my computer till I downloaded the update, then it kept randomly crashing. The home support isnt helpfull either, plus it looks like windows. Too many bugs.

This is an awesome app but today while I was using it, I closed it, then opened it back up again. A little window came up and said "would you like to update this app" with yes and no buttons under it. I tried clicking no but it was frozen, so I tried clicking yes, but it was still frozen. Is there a bug that needs to be fixed because now I camt quit the app, and the window wont go away! it doesnt come out of the dock either. I cant shut my computer down because I havent answered the window, and I cant even restart it! We need un update to fix this! Help!
